St. Thomas More Academy sent two teams, the Lego Roosters and Lego Capuchins, to compete in the 2017 First Lego League Qualifier. The theme of the 2016/2017 FIRST® Lego® League was "Animal Allies" and consisted of three parts.  Students had to design and build a robot using the Lego Mindstorms kit that autonomously navigates an obstacle course, complete a project to invent something that could help animals, and demonstrate teamwork while completing timed "minute-to-win-it" challenges known as Core Values challenges.  The student range from third grade through eighth grade.  Click here to read more....

The University of  Maryland Baltimore's UM Ventures team is collaborating with the Chesapeake Digital Health Exchange to conduct a Digital Health Pre-Accelerator.


Michelle Leveque will be a subject matter speaker in the May 5, 2022 session entitled "Program Introduction, Orientation and Overview of Process".  In this first session, IP issues associated with a digital health startup will be discussed.

Path to a Patent, quarterly series restarts January 12

The United States Patent and Trademark Office's eight-part recurring Path to a Patent series covers everything from intellectual property basics, to patent searching, to what you'll need to draft and submit your patent application.

This free, virtual series, which is hosted by USPTO regional offices, starts January 12 and will run through March 16.
